Our school uniform

Dear Editors, I hate wearing a school uniform and so do all my friends. If we didn’t have to wear a uniform, we’d be much happier and we might even work better too. School uniform is old-fashioned and unnecessary. If you agree, please write to me – or to the Letters page at Pulse.

PS Pulse is a great magazine. Thanks!

Crazy?

Dear Pulse, Why do footballers and actors get paid millions of pounds when my mum, who is a nurse, gets paid very little? It seems crazy to me. Do they deserve all that money? Do they need it? Of course they don’t!

TV violence

Dear Editors, Adults often say there’s too much violence on TV and in computer games, for example Stone Street Fighters. But, in my opinion, it’s not true that young people think violence is normal because we see it on our screens. I hate violence.
The news on TV is often as violent as computer games but my parents don’t mind when I watch that. What do other Pulse readers think?

Mrs Massey

We want to say a big THANK YOU to Mrs Massey, who is leaving at the end of the term. She has been our history teacher for three years and we all think she’s brilliant. Mrs Massey, you’re one in a million! Thanks for everything. We wish you all the very best.

In fashion

Dear Pulse,
Your article ‘Slaves to fashion?’ was excellent. I don’t think it’s important to follow the latest fashion. I choose clothes that I like, and I don’t care if they’re ‘trendy’ or not. We shouldn’t worry about our appearance so much.

Rock for Bangladesh

Hi Everyone!
I am delighted to report that our ‘Rock for Bangladesh’ concert last week was a great success. The recent floods in Bangladesh have caused a huge amount of damage, and thousands are homeless. We asked people to make a donation instead of having a set price for the tickets. Thank you for your generosity! The concert raised an amazing £2,743. Congratulations to everyone who took part.
