Hi! Welcome to Mandela Court – a block of flats in Liverpool.
I live here with my parents and my sister Beth. Our flat is number three, and it’s on the first floor at the back. It’s got a balcony that overlooks the park. There’s a shop on the ground floor which sells newspapers and food. The man who owns the shop is called Karim. I work for him on Saturdays. And I sometimes babysit for the people that live next door. They’re called Winston and Lorina. Winston plays the trumpet in a band. They go all over the world. You’ll meet some more of our neighbours later …
