A Listen to the story and follow the text. Guess what will happen next.

Matt and his friend Wayne are staying at a Youth Hostel in Scotland.
They’re on Ben Nevis – the highest mountain in Britain.

B Complete the dialogue with the missing sentences. Then listen again and check.

C Match the words on the right with the words on the left and make complete sentences.

Say two example sentences with must and mustn’t, then say them in your language.

A Write complete sentences using must or mustn’t.

B If you have time Act the story of Wayne’s rescue. Work in groups of four: Matt, Wayne, the pilot and the doctor. Change some of the sentences if you want to, for example:

A Listen to the words for different means of transport. Can you draw them? You’ve got three minutes!

B Test a friend Use your pictures and ask your partner: What’s this?

A Read the notices at Matt’s Youth Hostel in Scotland. Find something that you like eating and something that you like playing.

B Read the notices again, then say at least four things about the Youth Hostel.
